I have taken several pictures of this. It is not a chip. Also one or two of the glasses have small flaws/ rough areas on the bamboo knots. I also pictured this. These are all very hard to find/ feel and truly are not noticeable unless you know to look for them.
Vintage 1940s Weil Ware Malay Bambu hand-painted ceramic tumbler. In the salmon pink colorwave. Features raised, embossed yellow bamboo stalks with dark green foliage set against a background gradient that transitions from a pale pinkish-salmon to a creamy white base. Each flute features a clear tapered bowl with a bamboo motif that appears to be hand-tooled into the glass surface, then hand-painted with green leaves and brown bamboo detail. They were lightly rinsed with water to remove storage dust (no soap used), which may account for minor water spotting visible in photos.
