Baccarat Crystal in France started producing the Colbert pattern cut glassware in 1908. Early pieces in this pattern were marked with a paper label which was usually removed before use. The traditional acid etched Baccarat mark was not used until around 1936.
Set of 6 Vintage Baccarat Colbert cut crystal port glasses, France 1950's, 5 1/8 inches tall. Signed. This is one of the most famous patterns from the Baccarat crystal factory. Bought new by my grandmother.
• Baccarat, France. There are no notable marks from use and storage. The glass has exceptional clarity and beautiful resonance. The bottoms have slight shelf wear as expected. They are not marked, which was standard for Baccarat stemware prior to the 1950's.
