Salviati Murano Venetian Presentation Goblet, Red/Gold. Circa 1920. Hand blown. Very good condition. Measures 10 1/4" high by 4" wide.
Up for sale are a pair of coupe style cocktail or champagne glasses by Salviati of Murano Italy. The 8 sided bowl of the cup itself is decorated with a gold gilt in a scroll pattern.
This is a very unusual wine glass unlike any I’ve seen before. It was designed so that when you drink from it, you’re looking directly down onto the cherries positioned between the stem and the bowl of the goblet, with the leaves and stems beautifully extending upward onto the bowl itself.
They all have an S monogram on the base. The goblets hold 7oz. They are about 6 1/8" high and about 2 7/8" across. They may be made by Salviati. You are buying all 6 goblets for one price.
