Up for sale are a pair of coupe style cocktail or champagne glasses by Salviati of Murano Italy. The 8 sided bowl of the cup itself is decorated with a gold gilt in a scroll pattern.
This is a very unusual wine glass unlike any I’ve seen before. It was designed so that when you drink from it, you’re looking directly down onto the cherries positioned between the stem and the bowl of the goblet, with the leaves and stems beautifully extending upward onto the bowl itself.
The blown glass wine glass stand on a wide rounded foot with speckled gold leaf, a ground and polished pontil, and applied gold dolphin stem and faceted bowl and base (16 sided). Glass is unmarked. Double-boxing is not included unless otherwise stated.
